Get started today!” https://skl.sh/idoagassi11251 In this video I am making a small pocket journal with a soft paper cover using the Coptic binding technique. I use only leftover materials: Zanders Zeta paper for the pages, marbled paper for the outside, and a 200g sheet to reinforce the cover. I also demonstrate how to sew the Coptic stitch with an exposed spine using synthetic thread, as an alternative to linen. You will see the process of: Folding sheets into signatures Preparing and reinforcing a soft cover Piercing sewing stations Sewing the Coptic binding technique Finishing details, including rounding the corners This is a simple and satisfying binding that opens completely flat, making it ideal for sketching, journaling, or note taking. I hope it inspires you to create your own Coptic Binding Materials Used: Zanders Zeta Paper, 21x13 cm (28 sheets) Sundance 218g Paper (inner cover) Marbled Paper (outer cover) Synthetic thread (instead of linen) Tools Recommended for Bookbinding: Teflon Bonefolder: https://amzn.to/3Grsz7x Awl: https://amzn.to/3Juv0Ip Needle # 18: https://amzn.to/4kkDsXT Craft Knife: https://amzn.to/42S4K0b Spare Blades: https://amzn.to/4iy6G3F PVA: https://amzn.to/3TpIFl6 When available, I use affiliate links, and I may earn a commission that helps support this channel.
