Python Documentation Assistant | Offline RAG Chatbot This video presents my submission for the K-Hub Senior Developer Intern Assignment. In this project, I built a Python Documentation Assistant, a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) chatbot that answers questions using only the official Python documentation. The entire application runs completely offline using local AI models powered by Ollama. Features Offline AI chatbot (No cloud APIs) Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Official Python Documentation as the knowledge base Domain-restricted responses React frontend FastAPI backend FAISS vector database Local embedding generation with Ollama Modular project architecture Automated testing with Pytest Tech Stack React Vite FastAPI LangChain FAISS Ollama Phi-3 Mini nomic-embed-text BeautifulSoup Python Pytest Project Workflow Load the official Python HTML documentation. Clean and preprocess the documents. Split the content into semantic chunks. Generate embeddings using Ollama. Store embeddings in a FAISS vector database. Retrieve relevant documentation for each user query. Generate responses using Phi-3 Mini based only on the retrieved documentation.
