Watch French Braid Cable For Knitting - Quick Tip Knitting - Pattern and Craft Video Tutorial

Welcome to Pattern and Craft! My Quick Tip Knitting videos are shorter videos designed for learning a new stitch or technique in only a few minutes! In this video I show you how to create a beautiful decorative knitted cable with only 3 stitches and a 2 row repeat! The result looks complex but the stitch pattern is fairly simple. The technique does involve cross stitches/twist stitches/2 stitch cabling, but is accomplished without the use of a cable needle. This cable also utilizes slip stitches, knit stitches and purl stitches. This cable is best paired with reverse stockinette, but feel free to pair it with whatever stitches you prefer, you could even add lace in between or another style of cable! Demonstrated in continental style knitting.
