Watch Mozilla Devtool Tips #08 - JavaScript Scratchpad Video Tutorial

Welcome back! We find ourselves exploring the JavaScript Scratchpad today! A nice little feature inside the Mozilla Devtools that gives you a text-editor feeling JavaScript environment. It can be useful for writing out larger scripts in the browser to evaluate, and in return we can take a closer look at how it evaluates without having to commit any code to our project files. I like to play around in the scratchpad whenever I have a function that might be dependent on other functions to call it. I find that having the in some cases, working with a function in the scratchpad is a lot easier than in our project files. The scratchpad is kind of like a bigger console in a way, but with the recent updates to both Firefox and Chrome, the console has become a lot more powerful. That being said, I still find myself popping open to scratchpad to play around and experiment for quick things, without the need to load up a text editor, initialize a new project, link the files if separate, then load it into the browser.
