Bead mixes were made for wire-wrapped hoops! This is such a fun project, especially for beginners. These would make such a great handmade gift for the holidays too. And you only need a few supplies ⬇️ 1. 26 gauge craft wire 2. Hoop earrings - Search for latch back hoop earrings. You can find affordable options in stainless steel, raw brass, and plated alloy metals. I have some in my shop here: https://www.thebeadmix.com/products/40mm-hoop-earrings 3. Beads! I’m using one of my 11/0 Miyuki seeds bead mixes called Southwest, but I have many others to choose from @ www.thebeadmix.com 🛍️ 4. Wire cutters, pliers, and glue Here are the steps ⬇️ 1. Cut a strip of wire (for 40mm hoops, I cut about 30 inches). 2. Secure the wire to the hoop by wrapping it around at least 5 times tightly. I start on the side with the latch back and hook the end of the wire around it temporarily to keep it from moving around. 3. String your beads (for 40mm hoops, you’ll need about 13.5 inches of string beads). 4. Wrap the beaded wire around the hoops until you reach the other end. 5. Secure the end by wrapping just the wire around the hoop at least 5 times like you did in the beginning. 6. Clip the excess wire on both ends. Use pliers to tuck in the wire.
